Dubai Watch Week 2026: is there an edition this year? The end-of-year watch fairs

Dubai Watch Week is biennial: after the November 2025 edition, the next one is announced for November 2027. Here is what you need to know about the fair, and the watch events that take its place in the late-2026 calendar, from Düsseldorf to Geneva and Bahrain.

Every autumn, the same search comes back: "Dubai Watch Week 2026, what are the dates?". The answer often surprises: in 2026, there is no edition in Dubai. The fair organised by the retailer Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons now follows a biennial rhythm, and the last edition took place in November 2025. Here is what is known about the next one, and which events fill the end of 2026.

Dubai Watch Week: a fair every two years

Founded in 2015 by Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, the leading watch retailer in the Emirates, Dubai Watch Week was first held every year, then moved to a biennial rhythm. The 2025 edition, the largest to date, ran from 19 to 23 November 2025 at Burj Park, at the foot of the Burj Khalifa, with free entry on registration. It notably featured a talk by Rolex's chief executive, a rare event for a house that seldom speaks in public.

The Swiss specialist press (Worldtempus) announces the next edition for November 2027. A few listings sites show dates in November 2026: they repeat, one year on, the calendar and figures of the 2025 edition, and are not confirmed by the organiser. Before booking a trip, rely only on the official website.

What the fair brings to the market

Dubai Watch Week is not a novelties fair like Watches and Wonders. It is a place for meetings, talks and workshops, where brands often present series reserved for the Middle East. For the secondary market, two points deserve attention:

  • regional editions: series produced for a retailer or a region then circulate in Europe, sometimes at a premium over retail. Their market value depends heavily on the original documentation; without papers, an "exclusive" edition is hard to prove;
  • the weight of the Gulf in demand: buyers in the region weigh on the most sought-after references, such as the Nautilus or the Royal Oak. Price trends observed in Dubai partly carry over to the European grey market.

Why a biennial rhythm

A fair of this size requires a significant investment from brands: stands, pieces on display, travel for teams and artisans. By alternating years, the organiser concentrates the effort and secures the presence of the major houses, which already juggle Geneva in spring, Geneva Watch Days after the summer and their own events. The 2025 edition claimed nearly 50,000 visitors according to reports published after the fair, a figure that on its own justifies this breathing space between editions.

For a European visitor, the alternation has a practical consequence: in odd years, November is busy, between Dubai, the GPHG and the Geneva sales; in even years, like 2026, the calendar is calmer and most of the action is in Europe.

Watch events at the end of 2026

Dubai's absence does not leave the calendar empty. Here are the confirmed events between October and December 2026, useful for seeing watches, meeting brands or following the market.

WatchTime Düsseldorf

This is the consumer fair closest to France this autumn. Organised by the German magazine WatchTime, it brings together several dozen brands, from major houses to independents, on the banks of the Rhine, from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 October. Opening hours differ between sources: check them on the organiser's website before you go.

The GPHG in Geneva

The exhibition of the 84 shortlisted pieces and the ceremony on 7 November are the highlight of the autumn, in the same week as the major Geneva sales. We have detailed the calendar and categories in our article on the GPHG 2026.

Jewellery Arabia in Bahrain

For those seeking the Gulf atmosphere, Jewellery Arabia runs from 24 to 28 November at Exhibition World Bahrain. The fair is first and foremost a jewellery event, but a significant share of exhibitors are watch brands and retailers.

Preparing for a fair as a buyer

A watch fair is not a place for bargains: brands rarely sell there, and never below retail. It is mainly for trying on, comparing and meeting retailers. A few reflexes:

  • try before you buy: diameter and thickness are judged on the wrist, not on a spec sheet;
  • note the exact references: a regional series is sometimes distinguished by a dial detail that you will later find in a listing;
  • be wary of purchases "on the fringes" of the fair: some sellers take advantage of the crowds to offer watches outside official channels. Insist on authentication and papers before any payment.
  • make the most of the talks: panels often bring together brand executives, retailers and auction experts; you hear what is being said about supply, waiting times and prices well before it is written.

Practical information

  • WatchTime Düsseldorf: watchtime.net (23 – 25 October 2026, Rheinterrasse, Joseph-Beuys-Ufer 33)
  • GPHG: gphg.org (exhibition from 30 October to 15 November, ceremony on 7 November)
  • Jewellery Arabia: jewelleryarabia.com (24 – 28 November 2026, Bahrain)
  • And next year: our 2027 watch calendar lists fairs and sales.

In short

No Dubai Watch Week in 2026: the fair returns in November 2027, and the dates circulating for this year are not confirmed. The autumn remains busy, between Düsseldorf, the Geneva week of the GPHG and auctions, and Bahrain. If a fair makes you want to sell or buy, start by checking the market value of the watch you are interested in.
